Sunny Upadhyay

Satendra Upadhyay more affectionately known as 'SUNNY' was born and raised in Kawardha, and is devoted to the unique, engaging Tribes of his homeland. In his company you will meet local villagers and forest dwelling tribes without the least formality or awkwardness – whether at one of the colourful weekly markets, or in their enchanting villages and homes.

On occasions these villager hosts will be so delighted by your and Sunny's visit that an impromptu celebration may be thrown in your honor. Sunny works hard for the benefit of the Baiga and Gonds, and his guided tours are always conducted with their welfare first and foremost in mind.

The jungle retreat was a great weekend trip as a family. Mobile network comes and goes (Airtel and Jio work, no Vodafone/Idea/Vi network), which is a much needed opportunity to disconnect from the noise that phones can bring into our lives.

How to Reach?

By Air

Nearest airport is at State Capital Raipur. Airport is approx. 130 Km. from Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat. It takes approx 2 hours.

By Train

Nearest Railway Station is at State Capital Raipur. It about 130 Km. from Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat.

By Road

It is well Connected to Raipur, Bilapsur, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Bhilai city via road and takes 2.5-3 hours.

Essentials Before your Trip

Bag Packing Tips

One backpack, sturdy duffel bag, or easily managed suitcase.

Daypack (in which you may keep water bottle/snacks/cap etc)

A pair of shoes or boots comfortable for walking

Sandals or flip flop you don't mind getting wet

Money belt or pouch

Personal medications

Waterproof case

Two pair of shorts and/or swimming trunks

December and January Nights can be considerably colder than imagined. Fires are lit, but do bring layers of warm clothing too.
